With the praise from the Blacksmith in his mind, Arthur left the shop.

Having tried his hand at making the throwing knives, Arthur was surely satisfied and was now free to leave the Kestrel Village.

'Now then… to head to Roran town, I need to leave through the southern gate and head southward following the path.' Arthur recalled.

The route to going the Roran town was relatively simple. One only needed to continue going south until they found a trail that finally expanded into a proper road. This road was what would take them to the Roran Town.

Of course, just this much was not enough.

"When I went to find the Great Horn Bramble Beetle, I hadn't seen the trail. It should be further south from there…" Arthur muttered to himself as he left the village.

One could see that the journey to the Roran town was not as easy as it seemed. While the path might be simple, it was not without dangers. Just having to defeat the many Black Scruff wolves would be a troublesome task.

And when one went beyond a certain area, they would start encountering even stronger beasts. If one couldn't defeat them, they would either be forced to run, or just die right then and there, being forced to return to the newbie village.

This was a common thing for all newbie villages and not just the Kestrel village.

In a way, it was a soft restriction that prevented the newbie players from going to the next town. They might know the existence of the town, but going there would also need strength.

In fact, there had been players in Arthur's past life that had tried to go to town before they had reached level 10 and gotten the Writ of Entry. Since there had been others who had gotten to the town, they thought they could simply take the same path.

But when they tried to do that, they only ended up getting killed by the stronger mobs that appeared. And if one was unlucky, they might even encounter a Boss. These were roaming field bosses that were tougher than the normal dungeon type bosses.

Even for a party, defeating them was difficult when they were at level 10. For players below that, it was simply impossible. Even a large group of level 8 players, would end up dying to a field boss like that. There was an incident where 40 level 9 players had banded together and tried to bring down a field boss that stopped their journey to the town.

But they all ended up getting wiped out while the boss had only lost a quarter of its HP.

It showed that even large numbers could not help much when one was simply unskilled or lacking in strength.

For Arthur though, those were not issues at all as he had an advantage that the other players didn't have… He already had a class!

"I wonder how well I would hold up to a field boss?" Arthur wondered to himself as he casually passed through the first area of the southern forest.

The players were occupying the attention of the Grey Horned Rabbits and didn't bother Arthur. Only when he entered the second area did the players start to notice him.

"Hey, who's that?" A couple of players saw the appearance of Arthur.

"How does he have so much gear?"

"Is that a spear?" the players finally noticed the greatest difference between them and Arthur.

While Arthur had some armor too, it was something that could be obtained by others too as long as they bought it. But the Spear that Arthur had was simply too striking.

"Is there a spear like that available in the village?" they couldn't help but wonder.

"Who knows, there might be… Maybe we should take a look." The players talked while Arthur continued onwards to the third area.

In the third area, Arthur actually saw more players.

'Huh… I guess their average levels have risen too.' Arthur thought.

He could see groups of three or four players taking on a single Adult Black Scruff wolf and successfully managing to kill them.

"So they're using the guide…" Arthur noticed the tactic that the players were using.

It was from the guide that he had made after all!

Seeing the players actually use his guide in front of him felt a bit surreal to him. But at the same time, Arthur also felt a bit proud.

"At least they are saving me time." Arthur said after seeing that the attention of all Adult Black Scruff wolves was occupied by the players.

Leaving the players behind he continued deeper into the third area, where Level 8 Adult Black Scruff wolves became common. Here, there were no players visible, as it was still too dangerous for them. If they tried to go this far, they might get ambushed by the packs of Adult Black Scruff wolves that could easily tear them to pieces.

Arthur was not free from this either and finally had to fight.

"You guys will be the perfect target to test the new spear," Arthur said with a smile as he held Dietrich in his hands.

"GRRR~!" A group of three Adult Black Scruff wolves was glaring at Arthur, trying to intimidate him.

But Arthur didn't care for it at all. Unlike before, he was the one who had the advantage in terms of pure stats.

"I'll be the one to strike first!" Arthur said as he lunged towards the nearest Adult Black Scruff wolf.

With his improved Agility stat, he managed to reach the Adult Black Scruff wolf before it could react to him.

[Fatal Hit!]

[-100% HP]

>Player Arzhur has killed an Adult Black Scruff Wolf!<

One stab was all it took for the wolf to meet its end. Arthur's spear stabbed through the wolf's mouth and came out of the back of its skull, crushing its brain.

Arthur pulled out the spear, letting the corpse of the wolf fall to the ground.

"Smooth like a hot knife through butter!"
