"Take this," Captain Fredric spoke before handing Arthur a small pouch full of coins.

>Player Arthur has completed a quest!<

——

Quest: Obtain Black Root Hemlock.

Info: You've obtained 12 Black Root Hemlocks for the Alchemist.

Reward: 1 gold 20 silver coins per root, Reputation.

——

>Player Arthur's reputation has increased in Roran Town!<

'I've already reached 'Favored' thus it'll probably take longer for the reputation to reach the next level.' Arthur knew that his earlier jump in the reputation was lucky.

Though he was pleased with the coins.

"How long will it take you to make the drug, Alchemist Lugan?" Arthur asked as he would have to plan accordingly.

"Hmm… considering the manufacture and then the testing, at least 2 days." Alchemist Lugan replied.

"Alright, that's good." Arthur spoke. "I hope you can get it done quickly."

"Of course." Alchemist Lugan nodded his head.

"I also think you should be there at the interrogation." Captain Fredric added. "You've earned that."

"I'll be there." Arthur accepted.

"Good. I'll call for you when it's ready. Till then you can do whatever you wish." Fredric stated.

"I'll take my leave then. I'll go hunt some more bounties." Arthur said before leaving the room.

Once he was gone, the Alchemist and the guard captain talked again.

"That adventurer… he is not like the others, is he?" Alchemist Lugan asked.

"I do find him a bit strange… strange, but talented." Fredric commented. "He's also growing faster than most warriors I've met."

"That's true." Lugan nodded.

"Emma also said that he bought skill books from her. He apparently spent a lot," Fredric added.

"Oh? Guess he spent all the rewards he's gotten on the books. They do tend to be expensive." Lugan nodded his head. "Though if he went there, he should have chosen a class too, right?"

"That's the strange thing… Rahel said the adventurer already had a class when he arrived at the Class Change hall." Frederic answered.

"He already did?" Lugan was surprised.

"Yeah. Rahel also found it to be… Strong." Fredric said, narrowing his eyes.

"How strong?" Lugan could tell there was more to it.

"Strong enough that Rahel could simply not judge," Fredric stated with a hint of interest in his voice.

"Even Rahel couldn't judge, huh… And what about you? You are the strongest among us and also have the most experience having been a knight. What is your true assessment?" Lugan asked next.

"Arzhur is certainly interesting, is what I can say. He seems to know a lot, even about me being a knight just from taking a look at the armor. He also knows where all the locations are, despite just having arrived as a newbie adventurer." Fredric said in detail. "I simply don't know how to assess him as a whole."

"Hmm…. I guess we just have to wait and let time tell." Lugan said before taking a puff from his smoke pipe.

Arthur had no idea that the two NPCs were talking about him and had taken a greater interest than before. Though even if he did, he would only be happy, as it usually meant that the NPCs had a higher opinion of him.

He only had one thing on his mind, and it was to hunt down the Ember Bellow Lizard.  I think you should take a look at

But before that, he needed to buy some armor. As such, he went to the armorer.

"I want to buy some gloves." Arthur replied. "Could you show me some suitable ones."

"Oh? Your old gloves get damaged?" The Armorer recognized Arthur. "I can repair them if you want."

"I'm afraid they're too far gone for that." Arthur chuckled.

"Ah, that bad. I get it." The Armorer nodded his head. "Come, I'll show you a few."

He took Arthur inside the shop and showed him a few pairs of gloves. There were several different kinds of gloves, made from cloth, leather as well as metal.

After looking at them though, Arthur realized he should be prepared for a situation like before.

"I'll buy these two pairs." Arthur decided to get two different kinds of gloves instead.

"Alright," The Armorer replied. "They'll be Seventy Silver coins total."

The gloves were more expensive than the ones Arthur had before, but they were also of a better quality. The Supple Orc leather gloves in particular even had a stat boost.

Equipment with stat boost was generally expensive and hard to obtain at this point in the game.

'I'll be able to switch them as needed,' Arthur thought.

He was also liking the extra dexterity, even if was just a single digit. After all, in some cases, even a single stat point could be the difference between life and death.

Plus dexterity affected a lot of things, other than just combat, as it was very important for production classes.

'They might just come in handy if I make more potions or items.' Arthur thought.

"Here you go." Arthur paid the coins and equipped the Iron Plated Leather gauntlets as they had higher defense.

They were also a bit heavier than his previous gloves, but after a few minutes of wearing them, he got used to them. Next, Arthur went to a nearby store to sell off the loot he had gotten as he didn't wish to carry around extra weight.

'I'll also be getting more loot later, so need space for that.' He thought.

He got some more coins from the sale of the bone blades and was now ready to leave the town.

"Time to head out." Arthur quickly went to the gate.

From there, he turned to the south west direction, taking a narrow beaten path that had not been used for a long time.
