Seeing that Arthur had decided already, Johan was surprised but also pleased.

"I assure you that that'll be the best rental decision you've made," Johan said with a smile.

"When can I move in?" Arthur asked next.

"The paperwork won't take more than a few hours. If you wish, you can even move in tonight." Johan answered.

"Hmm… let's finish the paperwork first. I don't think I'll be able to bring my things here at that time. Plus, I'll also have to talk to my current landlord." Arthur replied.

"Do you have a lot of things to move? If you need assistance, we have movers that can help with it." Johan suggested.

"Not really. I only have a few things I need to move. Clothing and the minor things can be packed quickly, but I have one thing that'll need some time." Arthur replied.

"What's that?" Johan was curious.

"My Dream Pod V3." Arthur's answer was unexpected to the man.

"Oh? Didn't that launch just recently?" Johan had heard of it as it was a bit topic these days.

"Indeed. I need to contact the company to move it. Disassembling it takes some time and only their technicians can do it." Arthur responded.

"That does make sense." Johan nodded his head. "Well, if you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me." The man said before sending Arthur his contact number.

"Thank you." Arthur said before saving it. "Oh also, I think I might need a dedicated high voltage power socket as well as a good internet connection here." He added.

"The internet here is one of the best, so you don't need to worry about that. As for the high voltage power socket, that can be arranged." Johan replied.

"Now then, shall we get to business?" Johan said before opening a few documents on his tablet screen.

The two sat down while Arthur went through the documents and verified that they were fine. Once that was done, he added his credentials and signed the contract.

"Here's the payment," Arthur said while transferring the funds to the account provided.

"And that completes our part." Johan said. "I've sent the documents to the authorities and they will notarize them for the final part. The finished documents shall be sent to you digitally." He explained.

"That works." Arthur was fine with it.

"It was a pleasure doing business with you. I hope you have a great time here." Johan said as he walked Arthur back downstairs.

Done with the apartment, Arthur left the building and stopped at a nearby restaurant to have his lunch. For lunch, he ended up having some deep-fried chicken that he had been craving for a bit. After that, he went to catch the next bus back to his show box of an apartment.

"Phew~ That's one major task done." Arthur let out a breath of relief and sat down on the wide empty seat.

It was still afternoon, thus most of the bus was empty at this time. The majority of travelers taking this bus would transit from the suburbs to the main areas for work. Thus the bus was mostly filled during the morning and evening.

The rest of the time, it was rather comfortable to use it.

"Oh yeah, I should contact Hypnotek for moving the Dream Pod V3." Arthur remembered. 'Do they still have the free moving period?' he scrolled through the company page for the Dream Pod and quickly found the relevant section.

'Ah, good! They still have the free moving option.' Arthur was pleased.

Dream Pods were bulky and sensitive pieces of equipment. They weren't really meant to be moved too much, and were supposed to be kept in one place after they were assembled. Moving them around was to be done very carefully, if it was in the same room.

And if one was moving it between different locations, only the professionals could do it. This also cost money and could become an issue for people.

It was one of the downsides of having a Dream Pod but most people didn't mind it as they rarely ever moved it.

Thankfully for Arthur, since he was still within the promotional period for the Dream Pod V3, he wouldn't have any issues with it.

"And done, they really do make it easy." Arthur said as he finished filing an application.

Since his credentials were already linked with his smartphone, all he needed to do was give the address of the new place and the application was completed in an instant.

Arthur ended up watching the streets pass by for the rest of the journey and time turned into a blur.

Upon reaching his stop, he could feel a cold breeze blowing.

"Winter sure is approaching…" Arthur muttered putting his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.

He quickly made his way to the apartment and had just opened the door when he saw someone familiar.

"Cassandra?" Arthur muttered seeing the woman.

"Ah, Arthur." The woman who was talking to someone in the doorway looked at him.

"Who?" A head peeked out of the doorway too, revealing himself to be Boyd.

"Coming back from a walk?" Cassandra asked.

"Just some work." Arthur said before feeling the gaze of Boyd. 'I may as well inform him now.' He thought.

"Do you have something to say?" Boyd asked in a slightly frustrated tone.

"Dad, be calm." Cassandra said with furrowed brows.

She had gotten to learn more about her father and knew that he wasn't the most agreeable of men. But she hoped that it could be changed eventually. And to do that, she was willing to chide and guide him.

"It's fine," Arthur said much to her surprise. "I actually do have something to talk with Boyd." He added.

"You do?" Both Casandra and Boyd said in unison.

"Yeah… I'm moving out." Arthur dropped the news.

Hearing that both were surprised though Boyd was more surprised out of the two.

"Can you even afford to move?" Boyd questioned.

"DAD!" Cassandra said out loud.

"What? It's a fact. This brat's been late on his payments before and works shit jobs." Boyd replied.

"That's not a good thing to say—" Cassandra was about to begin her scolding when she was interrupted.

"I just happened to get a new job." Arthur stated. "It also comes with a good place to live, so I'm moving out." He gave an excuse.

Hearing that the two became silent.

"When are you moving out?" Boyd questioned.

"I'll probably move out tomorrow. The movers should arrive in the morning to pack things." Arthur answered. "And don't worry, you can keep the deposit. As well as the excess rent for this month." He added before the man could say it again.

Arthur was moving out before the end of the month, thus he could have technically asked for a part of the rent back. But he knew arguing for that would be a waste of time.

'Though it isn't much anyways.' Arthur thought.

With the amount that he was making now, it wasn't worth his time to ask for it back. Besides he didn't wish to argue with Boyd and waste his time while also spoiling his mood.

He had just had a good day, thus wished to let it continue.

"Hmph! Good, I can finally get rid of you." Boyd said before going back inside.

"Da— THUD!~" Before Cassandra could shout at her father again, the man closed the door with a loud thud.

~Sigh~

The woman shook her head and let out a breath.

"I'm sorry for his behavior." Cassandra apologized.

"It's fine. I'm used to it." Arthur raised his hands to stop her. "Besides I'm excited about the move too. The new place is good." He said with a smile.

"Oh? Where are you moving to?" Cassandra was curious.

"Honeysuckle Street in the Eleventh District." Arthur replied.

Hearing that, Cassandra was shocked.

"Isn't that an expensive location?" She asked.

"Comes with the work pay." Arthur shrugged. "I may as get a good deal."

"That's good." Cassandra smiled. "I'm happy for you."

"Thank you." Arthur replied to the woman. "I hope you have a good time with your dad." He added.

"Ah yeah… I'm trying to change him. But he's stubborn." Casandra replied.

"Yeah, he's a stuck peg." Arthur nodded his head. "It'll take a lot of hammering to get him loose."

"I'll try… he's the only one I got left anyways." Cassandra said. "~sigh! I'll get out of your hair now. I'm sure you have a lot of packing to do."

"Yeah… I'll see you again later perhaps," Arthur said before taking his leave.

Cassandra looked at his back for a few moments before leaving the building herself too.

Arthur went to his tiny apartment and got to work.

"I'll get the smaller things packed first, I guess." Arthur started sorting his clothes first.

A few hours passed like this and by the time he was done, it was already 8 pm.
