Chapter 1742

When Sean heard Molly’s answer, he was not surprised.

He guessed why she stayed, but he was anxious that she had put herself in danger.

Sean hissed with a frown, "I promised you I'd be back!”

"Nothing is for sure in this world! You are not God! Even if you had a rigorous plan, accidents could happen,"Molly

retorted to him through gritted teeth," Anyway, I stayed. I had decided that if anything happened to you, I wouldn't

leave here alone. Sean, don’t you dare leave me behind!"

Then emotionally, she threw herself at him and then rested her head against his chest.

Feeling his warmth and his familiar smell, Molly couldn't help but burst into tears. She had suppressed her tears all

Sean choked.

Molly's body was trembling. He could feel her strong emotions.

Molly tugged at his shirt. She couldn't stop crying.

Sean felt his chest get wet. He felt guilty. He hurriedly coaxed, "It's my fault. I shouldn't have yelled at you. You are

pregnant. Pregnant women can't cry, otherwise, the baby will love to cry. What will we do then?"

"You coax the baby," Molly sobbed.

Sean smiled, "Okay. I'll coax the baby."

While Sean was comforting Molly, Selon had gotten in the car and started to save Alkaid.

When Sean got out of the car earlier, Tony knew that his boss and Molly had a lot to talk about, so he immediately

urged Selon to get in the car.

Tony said as he ran, "Hurry! Alkaid's in critical condition.

Only you can save her now, Dr. Shepard."

Selon's heart immediately tensed up as if something stabbed in his heart.

He asked incredulously, "Who were you talking about?"

"Alkaid!” replied Tony hastily, "When we were defusing the bomb at the base, there was an accident. Someone on

the team turned his back on us. We almost all died at the scene. Luckily, Alkaid showed up in time. She saved us.

But she was seriously injured. She almost lost her life. Mr. Anderson told her you were waiting for her, so she made

it till this moment."

Selon's heart clenched.

He should have rejoiced that Alkaid had been found and that she wasn't dead.

However, now he was so worried that he couldn't force a smile.

"Where is she? Take me to her."

"She's in the car." Tony pointed ahead.

Selon immediately ran to the car.

Soon he got into the car and saw Alkaid lying on the bed.

She was covered in wounds. Her clothes were torn and soaked with blood.

Her face was also covered in blood. Her body was wrapped up with bandages.

When Alkaid was brought back, the doctor put bandages on her to stop the bleeding.

Her lips were pale and her breathing was weak, as if she might stop breathing at any moment.

Selon felt a dull ache in his heart. He could barely breathe.

But he didn't waste a second.

He came to Alkaid's side and checked on her.

Tony said, "We don't have the proper medical instruments. The doctors can’t treat her injuries. Dr. Shepard, we’re

all counting on you!"
