Following that crisp slap, Gilbert felt his ears ring as he collapsed. His forehead hit the corner of the desk

and blood began to flow out.

Gilbert groaned in pain and touched his forehead, only to see his hands covered in

blood.

“I’ll kill you!”

Gilbert’s eyes were blood–red, and anger fumed in his heart as he rushed toward Leon like a madman.

Leon leaped into the air, kicked Gilbert’s lower abdomen, and sent Gilbert crashing into the wall after

staggering several steps back. That was probably the most embarrassing moment of his life.

“Forget it, Leon. Let’s go.” Once Ariel came back to her senses, she hurried forward and grabbed Leon’s

arm. With the way things turned out, the cooperation was as good as gone and she did not count on it

anymore.

All she wanted was to leave as quickly as possible, lest things escalate even further.

Leon nodded and walked outside with Ariel.

“Stop them! Don’t let them get away…” Gilbert struggled to get up and let out a roar.

By then, the ruckus in the office already alerted the employees outside. Someone called the company’s

security guards over, six of which stopped Leon and Ariel moments after they walked out of the office.

Gilbert chased out from behind and grew confident when he saw that the security guards showed up.

“Mister Gaur! This man right here slapped me! I want you to give him a taste of his own medicine! Beat

him up! I’ll bear whatever consequences that may happen!” Gilbert had a vicious expression. He was no

match for Leon, but with the six security guards around, he was confident that Leon would not be able to

defeat them all even if Leon had some combat skills!

The head of security had a sour expression, for Leon did not only cause trouble in the company but even

inflicted an injury on Gilbert!

“How dare you cause a commotion in our company building! You’re asking for trouble! Teach him a good

lesson, fellas!”

With a wave of his hand, several people whipped out the batons they carried and

charged fiercely toward Leon.

“Leon, be careful!” Ariel exclaimed.

winning were practically zero!

Ariel felt both worried and helpless.

Rather than back off, Leon went forward like a tiger that found itself within a flock of sheep. The guards

punched and kicked him, but none of their attacks managed to land a hit on him.

Leon’s energy refinement reached the middle stage courtesy of the Energy Convergence Circle from the

previous night. Dealing with a few measly security guards would be a walk in the park for him.

In less than ten seconds, all six of those security guards were knocked to the ground, and each one of

them collapsed vulnerably on the ground.

The sight of what happened left Gilbert and Ariel dumbfounded.

Even the employees surrounding them were stunned silly!

They never dreamed that Leon would be so strong! He defeated six security guards all by himself and

came out of the scuffle unscathed. Everyone started to doubt if he was even human!

Ariel knew that Leon had some conflict with Joseph a couple of days ago and ended up injuring several

of the company’s security guards by himself. However, she was not there at the time, so she did not get

the chance to see Leon’s ability with her own

eyes.

She was beyond shocked because it was the first time that she truly saw Leon’s fearlessness!

“Amazing…” Ariel’s beautiful eyes began to glitter and her heart thumped like a prancing deer. She was

always a fan of strong, domineering men, and Leon’s valiant act of protecting her gave her an

unprecedented sense of security.
