Chapter 37 With a burst of sheer strength, Aurelia shoved him away.

Pfft, and who was the one with issues? He had to use IVF to have a kid, probably because he couldn't have S$.

She ranted inwardly, but dared not voice a single word, fearing that he would fly into a rage and snap her neck.

“Isn't it normal, Mr. Leopold, for you to be disinterested in me? It would be troublesome if you were.” Those words felt like a bone lodged in Leopold's throat. He couldn't swallow it, nor could he spit it out. H felt heartache, his anger even more so. He wanted to shut her up at any second.

“Trouble? I'm an expert at eliminating trouble.” With those cold words, he turned and walked out.

A chilling breeze swept in from the door, and Aurelia shivered, hugging her arms around herself.

Eliminating trouble? He wouldn't eliminate her, would he? The next day, Aurelia visited Arnold's studio and handed him the models’ profiles to choose from.

Arnold set the profiles aside, “Actually, | already have the perfect person in mind.” “Who?” Aurelia asked eagerly.

Arnold looked at her and gave a small smile, “That person's far away in sight.” “Huh?” Aurelia was taken aback. Looking around, she found that there was no one else but her.

“You don’t mean me, do you? I'm not suitable.” She shook her head vigorously.

“You are the most beautiful woman in my lens, why not?” Arnold's hazel eyes sparkled in the sunlight.

He had seen all kinds of women, but she was the most special one with a natural aura of elegance, pure and refreshing. One look at her, and one felt completely at ease.

Aurelia rubbed her fingers together, troubled, “I'm allergic to many cosmetics. | can’t wear heavy makeup.” She barely wore makeup, and now that she was pregnant, she definitely couldn't. It would affect the baby.

Arnold smiled, “You don’t need heavy makeup. A touch of nude makeup is enough.” A heavy makeup would only ruin her purity.

Before she could say anything else, Arnold put his arm around her shoulder, looking at her earnestly, “Aurelia, if you want to make a name for yourself at the Paris Jewelry Show, this is the best way. Not only will everyone see your work, but they will also see you. Trust me!” His words struck a chord with her, quelling all her concerns.

“Alright, | trust you.” The shoot went smoother than she had expected.

Leopold was out of town for the next two days, so she didn’t have to worry about him finding out and causing trouble. It was like a divine intervention.

“Mr. Leopold, when did you get back?” Leopold had rushed back overnight, canceling all his meetings for the day.

“You didn’t miss me, did you?” A sarcastic smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

She shook her head and waved her hands, “Stop joking. | wouldn't dare.” Dreaming about him would be a nightmare! The corner of Leopold’s mouth drooped, a shadow of gloom sweeping over his eyes.

He was unexpectedly irritated.

“I hope you're telling the truth.” “Cross my heart, if | dared to lie, I'd get struck by lightning as soon as | stepped outside.” Aurelia quickly raised her hand, speaking solemnly. No sooner had she finished speaking than a clap of thunder echoed outside, scaring her into crouching on the ground, huddled in on herself.

What a coincidence. She didn't even lie.

Seeing her terrified look, Leopold couldn't help but laugh.

Emerging from deep within his throat, a low laugh caused a jolt in Aurelia’s heart. She was stunned.

This was the first time she had seen him laugh. She had thought he never did! When he laughed, his usually stern features softened, like sunlight shining on an iceberg.

She was completely taken aback.
