''So how much can I sell it for? '' Raydon made the decision to turn it into gold because he doesn't like to keep useless items in his bag. He was looking for something that would give him mana, but ice veins fell far short of his expectations.

''9750 gold coins. '' The man spoke upfront. Raydon remembered the bark skin he had sold previously for 14.000 gold coins, but given that this was only white-grade, he decided that the price was reasonable.

''Deal. ''

'I wonder if I can find a good body enchantment with this much gold?'  He pondered. A good body enchantment was apparently difficult to come by and also expensive.

The man leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed on his book once again, and he asked.''So? Is there anything else? ''

Even if Raydon wanted something else, it was obvious from the man's actions that he would not get it.

Raydon said, "That's all, thanks," and he walked out of the store.

After he had gone, the man once more raised his head from his book, took his necklace off, laid it on the counter in front of him, straightened himself up, and said.

''Call. ''

A projection from the necklace protruded in response to the man's words. A few seconds later, a charismatic old man with white hair and a white beard appeared in the projection.

This man was none other than Fang, whom Raydon had met not long ago.

''Speak,'' Fang said, his voice deep and commanding.

At Fang's command, the man began explaining right away.

''Raydon, the young man you told me to keep an eye on, was here a while ago. As Sir previously stated, he sold a variety of items, including Region Boss parts and a body enchantment.  '' The man gave his report respectfully and waited for the response.

''Hmm, I knew that young man was no ordinary person. It's quite surprising that he killed the Region Boss, twice. '' Fang thought for a while and continued.

''Despite the difficulties, we discovered that he is a member of the Demugen family. Strangely, it seems that the Demugen family destroyed all proof of their association with him. In any case, let me know again if he returns. ''

Fang was going to inform his family that he wanted to support Raydon during the impending rift event. Earlier, he had dispatched someone to look into Raydon. It's interesting to note, though that even though they discovered which family Raydon belongs to, the members didn't seem to know anything about him.

Finally, after some more investigation, Fang decided to stop delving too deeply and refrain from revealing himself. It was best to look into Raydon's secrets from the shadows, if there were any.

Fang inquired, suspecting that something strange was going on in the family. ''Oh, by the way, have there been any recent events in the Demugen family? ''

The man responded right away. ''As far as I know, they will celebrate one of the family's young people being promoted to E-Rank in two weeks.''

''Hahaha, good, I guess I should go and congratulate that young man myself, '' Fang responded with a laugh. For the upcoming rift event, which was crucial to him, Raydon may be the best choice he has found so far among the candidates. That's why he wanted to go see what was going on for himself.

Raydon started looking around the stalls after he left the shop. He was looking for body enchantments and was particularly interested in ones that would increase his mana and speed, but even white-grade ones were sadly very difficult to come by.

Raydon eventually spotted a stall after some time spent wandering. On this stall, everything appeared to be rusty and aged. Raydon was the type of person who didn't care how something looked as long as it served its purpose, but it was odd that the entire counter was stocked with these cheap-looking things.

As he approached the counter, he turned to face the salesperson. The woman had a humpback, appeared to be very old, was dressed in a worn-out, patched-up black robe, and wore a pointed black hat that looked like a witch's hat. She had a half-melted face that appeared to be on the verge of dripping onto the ground.

The woman asked in an odd metallic tone while glancing at Raydon through her single, completely yellow-colored eye.

''You are my first client today. Tell me what you need. ''

Raydon briefly felt lightheaded because of how much the woman's voice irritated his ears. But thanks to his strong will and endurance, he quickly recovered and asked.

''Do you sell any body enchantments? ''

When Raydon's question was heard, the woman looked at him suspiciously and said. '' I guess you're new around here, huh? Normally, no one buys body enchantments from me. Ghehgehg'' The woman laughed wickedly.

Raydon didn't have to wonder why, given the woman's appearance. It was obvious that whatever the woman specialized in, the body enchantments she used caused her body to look like this.

''It makes no difference as long as it works for me.'' Raydon spoke firmly. Frankly speaking, he wouldn't want to look like the woman, even though he didn't care much about his appearance, but still, he wanted to see what kind of items she had.

''Oh ho? I liked you. So you're one of those people who believe that the beauty of strength outweighs the beauty of appearance. Then I will show you the power of corrosion. ''

The lady removed two items from her dimensional storage and placed them in front of Raydon.

''I've had both of these body enchantments for a while.  See if you like it. Ggehgehgeh '' With another disturbing laugh, the woman said.

Raydon looked at the two items in front of him before picking up a small bottle containing a dark green liquid that was bubbling.
